Mechel says shareholders approve paying no dividends for 2021
MOSCOW, Jul 1 (PRIME) -- The shareholders of Russian metals and mining group Mechel have approved a decision to pay no dividends for 2021 either on ordinary share or on preferred ones, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Mechel has not paid dividends on common shares since 2011. For 2020, the company paid 1.17 rubles per preferred share, or a total of 162.346 million rubles, in dividends.
Chairman of Mechel’s board of directors Igor Zyuzin is the core shareholder of the company.
